
A huge Sandhagen vs Sterling live bantamweight fight has been added to June’s UFC 250 event.
So, as an American mixed martial artist, both Aljamain Antoine Sterling and Cory Sandhagen currently competing with each other in the Bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
After Henry Cejudo’s so called retirement, It won’t be for his title, but Cory Sandhagen (12-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and Aljamain Sterling (18-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) will going to fight for prime contender position which is one of the sport’s deepest weight classes.
It has been confirmed with people close to the situation that contracts have been signed by both fighters. The people hope anonymity because UFC has yet to make an official announcement about this matchup.
Sandhagen, at 135 pounds, has been pushing for a big fight since he beat Raphael Assuncao at UFC 241 event in August 17, 2019 to extend his winning streak to seven fights. He was trying for a fight with Dominick Cruz after, but, then to fight Cejudo at UFC 249, Cruz got the short-notice call earlier this month.
Sterling, in the meantime, is on a solid four-fight run of his own. He most recently defeated Pedro Munhoz to a unanimous decision at UFC 238 in June 2019.
